Grow your career as a Finance Solutions Analyst with an innovative global bank in Long Island City, NY. Long-term contract with excellent growth potential. Will be required to work onsite 2-3 days per week. Will work on enhancing/implementing the processes, systems and analytics through which the actual FRTB Market Risk/CVA are calculated across the company, while ensuring changing regulatory requirements are met. Will involve reengineering and implementation of enhanced processes to improve reporting needs of actuals and forecasted RWA, SLE, Capital and create nimble processes.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Provide business analysis for various aspects related to implementation of Risk Weighted Assets (RWA) actuals calculation, forecasting, attribution analysis and regulatory reporting.
  • Substantively manage, contribute to, and coordinate across functions for RWA (Actuals and Forecasting) process and methodologies, including the remediation plans as needed.
  • Project manage the strategic vision of global infrastructure capabilities for a nimble and automated process; both for actuals and forecasting, US and Local Regulatory reporting.
  • Identify inefficiencies in the current processes and develop solutions with appropriate controls for a sustainable process.
  • Identify potential process improvements and capabilities to increase consistency, transparency, and reliability of CCAR stress testing results.
  • Develop analytics and proof of concept to facilitate the re-engineering efforts.
  • Contribute to the creation of senior management-ready materials.
  • Develop a strong working relationship with Finance, Front Office, Treasury, Technology, Audit, Risk Management and other counterparts across the organization.
  • Drive the management meetings and lead the discussion with various stakeholders.
  • Provide training to counterparts across the organization.
  • Continuously improve subject matter expertise related to Basel/CCAR and financial products in the business areas to become a trusted advisor to the work stream leads.
 
Qualifications:
  • BA in Business, Finance or Economics or related field. MBA is a plus.
  • 4-8 years of experience in financial services, preferably working in risk management, regulatory reporting areas.
  • Experience in project management and change management.
  • Solid Microsoft Excel skills and the ability to quickly develop advanced knowledge of MS Excel and Access (or other database front end query applications). Tableau knowledge is a plus.
  • R and/or SQL programming knowledge is recommended, as the role can be heavily data driven at times.
  • Understanding of Basel regulations (FRTB MR/CVA) and CCAR, Market Risk, Credit Risk are all highly desirable areas of expertise.
  • Strong analytical background and ability to comprehend various regulations, reporting and processes.
  • Ability to define, articulate and re-engineer complex processes and procedures, with appropriate controls, and think both strategically and tactically while driving meticulous execution.
  • Requires the ability to clearly communicate in both written and verbal formats, as well as a high level of organizational and analytical ability.
