TITLE:  Federal Cloud Change Manager

The Federal Cloud Change Manager is responsible for monitoring and facilitating the processes and approvals for changes within the Cloud environment.  As the Cloud Change Manager, you will work closely with the other members of the broader Cloud Support teams in day to day operational knowledge transfers, maintenance and support.


The role requires you to have working ITIL and ServiceNow knowledge.  As well as basic technical OS and cloud knowledge with a “can-do” approach towards cloud, process automation / management and continuous improvement. 


Required Qualifications


  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science / information system or equivalent.

  • Technical Change Manager with 10 + Years’ Experience, working in a 24X7 technology environment

  • ITIL V3 certified

  • Experience with ITIL V3, specifically in Change, Release Management and Deployment 

  • Basic technical understanding of AWS, Mainframe, storage, Unix, Linux, Windows, etc


Duties and Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the effective day-to-day operations of the change management process

  • Assist in the technical planning and coordination of plans and schedules of operations and project releases

  • Coordinate, plan and manage major changes

  • Provide technical expertise to assist in the evaluation of technical risks and impacts

  • Support the Change Management process to ensure continuous improvement

  • Reports and analyzes the change management process and prepare reports on trends and advise on potential causes of problems

  • Identifies, assesses, and develops solutions to evolve the change, release and deployment management policies and processes

  • Ensures that all releases into the production environment are deemed "production ready" prior to release and that all risks are identified and communicated to the appropriate stakeholders

  • Enforce quality, process, and policy adherence


Process Skills

  • Experience with ITIL V3, specifically in Change, Release Management and Deployment. Exposure to tools like Service Now, BMC Remedy, etc.

  • Demonstrated experience in driving change management processes.

  • Experience in driving Change approval board meetings, reviewing the risk and impact analysis, implementation, test and back out plans.

  • Exceptional written, verbal and relationship management skills and the ability to engage at a senior executive level, and with key stakeholders in a constructive manner.

  • Ensures that changes are adequately reviewed, approved, and scheduled in a timely manner with proper documentation in place. Takes corrective action on issues of non-compliance in terms of quality and process.

  • In depth technical knowledge is a plus, (AWS, Mainframe, storage, Unix, Linux, Windows, etc).

  • SDLC or Agile knowledge is a plus.
