Our client, a leading software company headquartered in Raleigh, NC is in search of an Events Marketing Coordinator to join their Marketing Communications team.  If you recently graduated with a degree in marketing or similar discipline, this position might be for you!

Details: 
Duration- 9 months, possible contract to hire.
Location: 100% remote, but some in person travel, up to 20% at some times, would be required.

Description:

Our clients' Marketing Communications team is looking for an Event Marketing Coordinator to join their growing team. In this role, you will plan and implement marketing and promotional strategies for their non-proprietary events within the technology industry as well as plan and carry out third-party industry events. You'll also deliver exceptional client experience and promote expanded global awareness through events. This is a great opportunity to become part of a cross-functional team responsible for all aspects of corporate marketing.

 

Primary Job Responsibilities

  • Assist and oversee event strategy consisting of planning, implementation, and post-event logistics for in-person, virtual and hybrid third-party events
  • Work collaboratively with external stakeholders and vendors
  • Create and implement digital event experiences consisting of email campaigns, social media campaigns, event websites and virtual events
  • Manage post-event metrics and reporting
  • Ability or flexibility to work in a hybrid environment, both digital events and in-person events
  • Support all aspects of event fulfillment from contract negotiation to post-event follow up including budget, staffing, brand presence, on-site logistics, and lead generation activities
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across the company to develop creative event marketing campaigns and plans that align with our overall team strategy and brand
  • Work with cross-functional teams like product management, marketing, sales, and internal agency to ensure that event messaging, deliverables, post-event analysis, and tactics are delivered according to strategy

Required Skills

  • 1-3 years of experience in event planning and implementation
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or a comparable degree
  • Project management with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously consisting of various cross-functional teams and vendors
  • Creative thinking with the ability to explore and implement a modern or unconventional approach to problem solving
  • Outstanding problem solving, communication, and presentation skills
  • Self-driven with the ability to perform well under pressure
  • Ability to problem-solve in fast-changing and fluid situations
  • Familiarity with different marketing and social media software such as Salesforce, Eloqua, Tableau, Twitter, and Instagram is a plus
  • Experience with planning and sponsoring large technical industry trade shows
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills
  • Extremely detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Broad experience with marketing campaign tactics
  • Self-starter, ability to work as a part of a team, and build relationships
  • Knowledge of open source software is a plus
  • Travel as needed; up to 20% when travel restrictions are eased
