Title: Digital Workspace Services Consultant
Type: Contract-to-Hire - 6 months
Location: Remote

Our client is seeking a Digital Workspace Services Consultant. 

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for the strategy and staff that delivers digital workplace technology and services.
  • Ensures teams deliver services with an enablement and business value-centric mindset.
  • Accountable for all digital workplace services functions, including operations, governance, enablement, and engineering.
  • Leads (or co-leads with human resources and facilities) the organization-wide reinvention of the workplace that empowers and engages employees to adopt (or exploit) new technology and increase digital dexterity.

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: 
  • Work with the I&O lead, human resources, facilities and other IT and business leaders to set the vision, mission and strategic direction of the digital workplace and employee experience improvements.
  • Lead the development, publication, and maintenance of the corporate digital workplace architecture, as well as the roadmap for its future development aligned to business requirements
  • Develop the DWS organizational functions, roles and responsibilities.
  • Develop a talent strategy to plan for future changes and needs.
  • Strategic digital workplace technology and services vendor management (in collaboration with sourcing, procurement, and vendor management colleagues).
  • Develop and manage the annual DWS (operating and capital expenditure) budget to ensure it is consistent with overall IT and company objectives.
  • Managerial responsibilities include hiring, coaching, and developing direct reports.
  • Champion Digital Workplace technologies and operations by setting and sharing program goals and measuring and demonstrating impact.
  • Establish and lead the digital workplace steering committee.
  • Establish disaster recovery and business continuity plans for digital workplace technologies.
  • Maintains currency on new technologies and platforms and provides direction on what emerging technologies should be assimilated, integrated and introduced within DWS to ensure IT capabilities respond to business demands  

REQUIREMENTS:

Education and Experience:  
  • Bachelor’s degree or relevant experience; Masters degree preferred
  • 8+ years managing IT support, systems, processes, and vendors
  • Experience with vendor management, including demonstrated success in conducting RFP's and vendor service transitions
  • Experience leading technology change and deployments
  • Proven ability to create business cases and ensuring support from C-level executives and business partners
  • Proven financial management skills with operational budget tasks
  • Awareness of workplace analytics or digital employee experience management tools
  • Experience with organizational change management methodologies
  • Experience in strategic technology planning and policy development
  • Working knowledge of IT frameworks such as ITIL including key processes -- knowledge, incident, change, service request and major-incident management
