Position:  Data Analyst
Location: Remote
Term: 1 Month Contract


Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
 

  • Develop and document the standard business practices of all IT Systems Development processes and procedures involving the Systems Development Life Cycle
  • Provide assistance and guidance to all IT Systems Development Managers as it relates to standards and procedures in all systems development activities
  • Develop, implement and monitor the use of standardized methods and procedures for systems development
  • Works closely with Systems Development Managers and their associates in understanding the various platforms and languages used to support the business and then to develop operating procedures which support each platform
  • Works closely with various project teams to educate them on the defined processes and to insure quality standards are being practiced
  • Assist in the development of policies and procedures to support standardize methods for Systems Development
  • Works with IT management to get policies and procedures approved and implemented
  • Gain a solid understanding of current multi-platform, multi-language environment
  • Assist in the development of appropriate policies and procedures that recognize the differences in multiple platforms
  • Assist outside auditors with their assessment of our General Computer Controls environment
  • Understand the required standards and procedures to adhere with industry standards such as; COBiT, ITIL, Sarbanes/Oxley, CMM
  • Insures that all IT Systems Development Life Cycle policies and procedures are documented and up-to-date
  • Assist in the development and implementation of testing procedures and testing tools


Is this a good fit? (Requirements):
 

  • Minimum 3 to 5 years of quality processes or related experience is required
  • Technical development experience using a structured development approach
  • Strong experience with change management tools
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills
  • Knowledge of IT standards and policy development and administration
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Able to balance technical expertise with ability to build relationships
  • Capable of implementing process improvements throughout the organization
  • Must have experience in implementing IT standards and processes
  • Retail industry experience preferred
  • Bachelors Degree – Business/Accounting/Computer Science
