Position:  Custody Operations Lead Analyst
Location: Des Moines, IA 50392
Term: 12 Months Contract


Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
 

  • Act as a technical expert within the Trust & Custody (T&C) operations area
  • Independently perform complex procedures, analysis and report preparation
  • Design, develop and maintain an efficient and effective internal control structure
  • Ensure compliance with established regulatory and operational procedures
  • Identify, research and resolve complex problems. Lead, drive or conduct special analysis
  • Perform internal controls and ensure timely resolution to identified exceptions
  • Lead, drive or actively participate in large and/or complex projects, new initiatives, process reviews and system enhancements
  • Demonstrate proficiency with multiple T&C related systems including the trust accounting platform, client invoicing and revenue monitoring systems, reconciliation tools, and multiple surround applications and end-user computing tools
  • Demonstrate proficiency with T&C data and data sources
  • Act as a mentor and informal leader to junior team members

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 7 years related experience required
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving, interpersonal and communication skills required
  • Must be detailed oriented
  • Must have proven and strong abilities in the areas of problem solving, planning, time management, decision making, consulting, negotiation, mentoring and project management
  • Must have the ability to build and maintain strong working relationships, exercise flexibility when dealing with people and effectively communicate with internal and external contacts at all levels
  • Basic PC and/or system skills required
  • Success in this position requires a strong client service orientation, the ability to work under pressure in a deadline driven, team-based environment, the ability to make effective, high impact decisions, the ability to oversee projects, the ability to produce accurate and timely information independently and the ability to drive results
  • Must be able to handle multiple, complex tasks, prioritize effectively and be flexible as business needs change
  • Must be able to attend to day-to-day details while maintaining a strategic, analytical focus on the big picture
  • Must be assertive, diplomatic, and positive


Preferred Skills:
 

  • Degree in accounting, finance, economics or business preferred
  • Experience in T&C operations or related field preferred
  • Strong knowledge of T&C products and services preferred
  • SQL background preferred
