Our client is seeking a Copywriter for a 4-month contract opportunity in Addison, TX.
The position will provide copywriting and proofreading support for all communications in the U.S. Creative Services department. Researches, creates and writes original copy for materials that market to consumers and the Independent Sales Force with content that is on target, timed correctly, consistent and aligns with other Company programs, as well as corporate goals and objectives.

2 years of creative copywriting and editing experience in a corporate or advertising agency environment. Experience in personal care products, health/nutrition is beneficial. Experience in the cosmetic field preferred but not essential.

Bachelors degree in Journalism, English, Communications or equivalent, plus

* With limited supervision from Manager, researches, writes, and edits original content for Independent Sales Force sales and consumer marketing communication pieces. These include, but are not limited to, Independent Sales Force print pieces, Independent Sales Force web content, Independent Sales Force emails, general consumer web content, and general consumer emails. Plans and produces content for marketing and sales strategies in an accurate and timely manner. Develops creative and innovative means of communicating routine or repetitive information. Streamlines all copy to make the most of space and the readers time, the needs of the audience, the overall Company strategies, while considering results from key communication analytics. Maintains consistency with the company brand image, meets objections of marketing, sales and corporate, and creates content that can be effectively delivered and understood by the appropriate audiences. Ensures that all materials have the information needed to effectively communicate the strategies and objectives desired.

* With limited supervision from Manager, provides essential support to the proofreading team for a range of Independent Sales Force sales and consumer marketing communication pieces. This often includes research to ensure that content remains in alignment with legal and regulatory risk tolerances and that accuracy of information and consistency of messaging is maintained across communication channels.

* Meets and collaborates with Creative Director, Art Directors, Sr. Copywriter, and U.S. content partners to evaluate and determine communication objectives and project concepts. Partners with Manager, InTouch, web merchandisers and developers, staff writers and proofreaders, and production artists to ensure production and distribution of content is within established deadlines, messages are consistent with Company goals and the communication channel audience, and that budgetary and quality guidelines are met.

* Attends relevant meetings and reviews Company publications to maintain awareness of all products, Independent Sales Force promotions, policies, procedures, programs and career paths, as well as overall corporate goals and objectives.

* Contributes to the overall success of the U.S. Creative Services department and the Company by providing support as needed at special events, as well as supporting special projects with writing and editing as needed. Participates in Seminar and other company-sponsored events.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
1. A high level of oral and written communications skills are required to interface with employees, sales force, and executives.
2. Must have a thorough knowledge of writing techniques, creative writing approaches, English, and grammar. Must be able to adapt writing style to a variety of audiences. Must be able to synthesize vast amounts of information from a variety of sources in order to arrive at the key benefits about a product.
3. Must have excellent product management skills including the ability to adapt quickly and effectively to changing priorities and needs. Must be able to work on several projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
4. Requires ability to influence others; ability to work in team environment; ability to evaluate client direction in terms of objectives and purpose and solve problems. Must be able to keep an open mind when it comes to input from others and maintain flexibility in consolidating multiple points of view.
5. Must possess excellent organizational and oral and written communication skills, including strong interpersonal and presentation skills. Must be detail oriented and have the ability to be factually accurate.
6. Must have good working knowledge of word processing software (preferably MS Word) and PowerPoint in order to prepare articles, presentations, etc.
7. Must have good working understanding of web development, print production processes, etc. to appropriately prepare content.
8. Must be proficient in AP Style.
