Construction Project Coordinator/Assistant

Looking to begin a career in Construction Project Management? We have a contract to possible permanent position with a local architecture firm whos projects are designed to ensure access to buildings and facilities for all people, including those with disabilities. 

JOB SUMMARY
The purpose of this position is to provide support to the project management team for projects from inception through completion.

Job duties may include but are not limited to:

  • Prepares standard project status reports for project delivery team or work group. Reports typically include status update, budget, schedule and risk, and Special Projects lists/status.
  • Coordinates and schedules meeting and communication plan(s) regarding projects among team and/or client.
  • Assist with coordination of work orders and change orders. 
  • Enters project information data (i.e. project status updates, schedule updates and project documentation into project management technology tools.
  • Processes documentation for project commitments (i.e. Agreements, Contracts, Work Authorizations, Purchase Orders).
  • Coordinates site-specific access
  • Respond to internal and external customer inquiries concerning performance reports and project tracking system data.
  • Assist project management team in the implementation of and monitoring the adherence to project administrative practices and policies.
  • Prepare routine and special client reports as required.
  • Assists with project administration deliverables for project team (i.e. Meeting scheduling, meeting minutes compilation; budget and schedule tracking; schedule updates; move management; project closeout, and general  Team support).
  • Other duties may be assigned.
Required Skills: 
  • Excellent organizational skills; detail oriented with the ability to multitask.
  • Strong time management skills; ability to handle multiple concurrent assignments.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment with a focus on error free work.
  • Strong skills in Outlook, MS Word and Excel.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Construction industry experience.
  • Pivot Tables
