Leading Global Innovator Seeks Contractor for the Following

Position: Design Engineer
Location: Waltham, Massachusetts 02452
Term: 12 months

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

  • Contributes to mechanical and electromechanical CAD design of the new and existing products
  • Support R&D engineering needs, design updates, and refinement
  • Construct DMR/BOMs, prepare ECOs and work with Document Control to implement
  • Provide detailed design drawings and annotated MBD models per prototype and production level engineering requirements.

Is this a good fit? (Requirements):
  • 5+ years experience in a CAD design and drafting position required; preferably in the Medical Device industry (or other regulated industry)
  • Associates degree in Mechanical Design, or equivalent, required
  • Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, or above, desired
  • Advanced SolidWorks proficiency with demonstrated capability to produce complex parts and assemblies required
  • Electromechanical design experience, working with SolidWorks Electrical 2D and 3D highly desired
  • SolidWorks PDM experience required
  • Creating and publishing MBD (Model-Based Design) models required
  • Experience with metal fabrication processes such as milling and turning, etc. required
  • Experience designing and dimensioning using the metric system and GD&T required
  • Document Control experience required
