Business Systems Analyst- Clinical IT

Our client has a Business Systems Analyst position available for a 3 month project, with possibility of extension. 

Experience within any of these areas is highly desired:
•CRO or Pharmaceutical industry experience • Experience with CTMS systems • 

Location: remote to start and onsite in either Raleigh, NC or Wilmington, NC when covid restrictions ease.

Description:
Analyzes business and user needs, documents requirements, and designs the functional specifications for systems and reports. Formulates and defines systems scope and objectives through research and fact- finding combined with an understanding of applicable business systems and industry requirements.
• Gathers and writes requirements and design specifications for large or moderately complex systems.
• Analyzes issues with requirements and design.
• Helps to define interaction of data with other systems/databases at the cleint or their client companies.
• Work with developers, QA testers, validation team members and managers to create and analyze various other required project documentation.

Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent and relevant formal academic / vocational qualification
Previous experience that provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job (comparable to
2+ years’ experience working in a software development environment, of which at least 2 years must be directly involved in requirement gathering) or equivalent combination of education, training, & experience.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• Good understanding of system development life cycle and requirements methodology
• Good understanding of requirement gathering methodologies, for example waterfall, Agile, Spiral, JAD sessions, as well as best practices
• Ability to write use cases
• Good understanding of different requirement types such as Business, User, Functional, and non- Functional
• Ability to write specifications for moderately complex systems
• Good MS Office skills
• Ability to estimate level of effort for small to medium sized projects
• Good business skills including the following: documentation, presentation, interpersonal, and communication
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills
• Strong planning and organizational skills
• Ability to interact with relational databases at an intermediate level
