Position: Business Initiatives Consultant
Location:
Saint Louis Park, MN; Des Moines, IA ; Phoenix, AZ ; Charlotte, NC
Term: 6 months

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate complex requests for data and ensure Conduct Analytics and Reporting team’s adherence to the Allegation Management Policy and all applicable enterprise policies and procedures
  • Decipher business requirements and correlate to available data fields to help evaluate and provide the most appropriate data solutions
  • Utilize decision making skills to make judgement based decisions related to data release
  • Review data sets for conflicts or issues based upon pre-defined criteria, utilizing checklists or other forms of documentation as mandated by procedures
  • Conduct ongoing access reviews to ensure data access remains appropriate
  • Ability to execute upon a monitoring program that ensures an effective control environment, to determine whether teams are complying with all internal procedure documentation and are consistently producing artifacts that demonstrate effective execution
  • Create reporting and recommendations for enhancement based upon the exceptions noted during monitoring program execution
  • Ability to summarize and visualize data while also identifying key insights
  • Ability to understand if the team’s processes are operating in a way that will reduce risk and allow us to deliver products and solutions successfully
  • May conduct or execute ad hoc reviews, quality activities, and remediation process
  • Ability to coordinate completion of multiple tasks and meet aggressive timelines
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Ability to articulate complex concepts in a clear manner
  • Critical in reviewing data access requests, applying restrictions around information security, and evaluating business processes for adherence with internal processes and procedures.
     

Is this a good fit? (Requirements):
  • 6+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: business support, project management, implementation, business operations or strategic planning in financial services demonstrated through work or military experience
  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

Desired Qualifications
  • Knowledge and understanding of Shared Risk Platform (SHRP) such as reporting and issue management
  • Experience with allegations policy and information security policy review, analysis and implementation
  • Experience with monitoring/self-assurance testing
  • Experience creating thorough and detailed documentation
  • Demonstrated strong control and governance skills
  • Ability to manage initiatives including: detailed planning, process management, and documentation
  • Ability to translate and summarize data into understandable, actionable information and recommendations
  • Strong collaboration and partnering skills
  • Experience collaborating and interacting with senior management
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Audit/testing experience
  • Ability to navigate within complexity of matrixed the organization such as Well Fargo independent risk management culture
  • Experience using JIRA
