Terrific long term contract opportunity in Miami, Florida for a Business Data Analyst. Will work in multiple data-based projects aimed at identifying and designing commercial initiatives to foster growth across the company’s product pillars. Will be responsible for maintaining and updating business datasets used for tracking of number and volumes of transactions, inflows and out flows, revenues and valuation of the deposits and investment portfolios across countries.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Partner across product disciplines, assist in managing the overall performance of a given product suite and monitor performance drivers for the products and portfolios.
  • Work on mining and developing internal datasets to help identify potential business opportunities that then be structured into commercial initiatives to be developed with country product teams.
  • Provide support to market management, business development and balance sheet management functions performing ad-hoc analysis and participating in periodic projects.
  • Work with regional and global stakeholders to establish key metrics and incorporate defined metrics into overall business management to allow business to respond to multiple regulatory requirements.
  • Gather and organize financial data to feed financial models and prepare output used in managerial reviews.
  • Prepare presentations and reports used to communicate to senior management on business performance.
  • Mentor and coach team members that are responsible for supporting ongoing performance and maintenance of a product or set of products, including client experience, pricing, risk and distribution.
  • Implement performance improvement strategies, with a specific focus on cross-sell and integration, including the development of competitive analyses, market analyses, product development road maps, market plans, pricing strategies and product line extensions.
  • Assist sales and relationship managers in building skills needed to identify client needs, and proposes solutions in line with business objectives.
  • Manage ongoing performance and maintenance of a product or set of products, including client experience, pricing, risk and distribution.
  • Gather market intelligence and develop market sizing studies and models to identify the attractiveness of particular markets segments and product offerings. Define and analyze sector trends, opportunities and issues.
  • Partner closely with sales teams to identify client opportunities and with the client management organization to meet with prospective clients and to size new opportunities.
  • Refine and produce sector-specific data for further marketing material that will arm sales force with the tools necessary to grow the company’s business.
  • Analyze vertical/product specific P&L's to ensure goals are being met.
 
Qualifications:
  • 5 to 7 years of experience.
  • Strong Excel/Access knowledge, Python preferred.
  • Level of expertise and demonstrated experience in Product Management and/or Product Development discipline.
  • Experience in and understanding of logistics or Industrial verticals experience with e-commerce solutions preferred
  • Experience managing data and analytical tools, Excel, Access, Power BI, etc.
  • In-depth quantitative or qualitative analysis to solve problems and develop new, innovative solutions.
  • Developed diplomacy skills are required in order to guide, influence and convince others, in particular colleagues in other areas and occasional external customers.
  • Bachelor’s/university degree.
  • Master’s degree is preferred. A business or related master’s degree can substitute up to two years of work experience.
  • Strong financial acumen and analytical skills. Banking experience is preferred but not required.
  • Ability to synthesize data and issues effectively for senior management, as well as the ability to involve other individuals and organizations when relevant.
  • Bilingual Spanish is preferred.
