Location: 100% Remote
Type: 6-month contract
Rate: $38-$42/hour DOE


JOB SUMMARY
The IT &Digital (ITD) Communications Analyst will contribute to and drive a variety of communications initiatives and tactics related to employee engagement. For this role, you should have the ability to write effectively to create content for a variety of communications channels; have a deep understanding of internal communications strategy, and be comfortable supporting several project teams at a time with communications consulting and delivery. You are an on-trend, creative communications professional with an interest and experience in making digital technologies an integrated part of an overall employee engagement program. Ultimately, you should strengthen our employees’ online presence, increase their awareness, and support the diversity of the communications mix through effective social media strategies and campaigns.

IT & Digital Leadership Summary Editor/Publisher:
The incumbent will produce a high-level, leader-focused report (not newsletter) on a weekly basis by doing the following:
• Maintaining an open line of communication with report contributors
• Managing weekly submission deadlines, related scheduling, and repository
• Developing an editorial calendar
• Writing some content
• Editing all content received
• Laying out a report in MailChimp
• Vetting each weekly edition with ITD Comms manager and ITD leadership
• Distributing report from MailChimp and manage audience details (adds/deletes/new lists)
• Maintaining and reporting all metrics related to the publication

ESSENTIAL KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
• Write professional, interesting, and engaging content to complement a multi-faceted internal communications strategy for large health care IT & Digital department
• Write and edit copy for digital newsletter articles, magazine articles, social media posts, and reports (occasionally for print collateral)
• Use Associated Press style and conform to national branding and writing guidelines, as well as related policies, e.g. Social Media
• Develop and produce useful communications aids such as FAQs, talking points, summaries, email blasts, web announcements, biographies, web content and presentation slides to support communications tactics schedules
• Contribute to basic communications planning including editorial calendars, communications channel selection, and effective tactics strategy
• Apply user/reader engagement metrics to improve communications strategies
• Organize and host communications meetings to plan, update and deliver on communications plans
• Will dedicate 25% of work time to provide communications support to a key ITD employee engagement initiative, ITD Digital University
• Provide ad-hoc support to employee engagement events, programming, and key initiatives.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
• Required Minimum Years Experience 5 years
• Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
• Previous work experience as a communications specialist/generalist or similar role
• Hands-on experience with Google Workspace to produce professional communications
• Digital content development (experience with Adobe Marketo is preferred)
• Ability to identify tactics that work well with a variety of audiences
• Excellent verbal communication skills
• Time management and multitasking skills

Required Education
A bachelor’s degree is preferred
• BA or BS in Communications, Public Relations or related field is 

PREFERRED Education and/or Experience
• Communications, public relations, or marketing-related experience
• Internal communications and/or employee engagement experience
• Page layout/light graphics skills a plus
• Adobe InDesign experience is desired
• Web page content building experience
