Position: Release Train Engineer
Location: Dallas, TX; Phoenix, AZ; Minneapolis, MN
Term: 6 months

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

  •  Partner with the senior engineering managers, data management team members, production owners, technology partners, subject matter experts, and scrum teams to monitor, track and provide oversight to the corporate risk data services book of work. 
  • Work with stakeholders and business partners to ensure new requirements are clearly identified, documented, and meet both the client Technology and Corporate Risk Data Services target state strategies.
  • Responsible for ensuring new work is appropriately sized, prioritized and added to the backlog for prioritization and estimating.
  • Ensures coordination of routines, processes, metrics and reporting, that support planning and delivery efforts.
  • Ensures compliance with various risk, data, info security, technology and privacy policies as required.
  • Responsible for leading business analysis and providing subject matter expertise for technology initiatives.
  • Partners with business and technology teams to analyze, interpret, and document requirements for complex business problems and recommend comprehensive technology solutions.
  • Uses domain specific and technology application(s) knowledge to define and lead detailed analysis in response to business & technology requests to develop efficient and accurate functional requirements.
  • Responsible for communication and information flow between business and technology teams.
  • Leads project / systems documentation and proactively monitor & manage project schedules and deliverables.
  • Partners with business users and drive development and provision of training, resolve questions, assess user needs and recommend changes.
  • Leads system testing and project development lifecycle.
  • Drives compliance through expertise of data accuracy, corporate policies and data security as related to the project.
  • May interact with vendors, external industry participants, and regulatory agencies.
  • May provide guidance and direction to teams, in addition to planning and delivering project initiatives.

Is this a good fit? (Requirements):

  • 2+ years in Data Governance or PMO Governance or release train engineer
  • 2+ years working with Agile teams
  • Deep understanding of Agile principles and practical application
  • Proven ability to influence and drive best practices at all levels across the organization

Desired Qualifications:
  • Business management or business support experience
  • Experience with JIRA setup and reporting functions
  • Advanced Excel - including use of Macros, arrays, pivots, lookups
