Our client, a leading employer headquartered in Cary, NC is in search of an IT Project Business Analyst for a 6 month contract.

Duration: 6+ months
Location: Cary, NC- some onsite is required (4 days/week at this point), local candidates only.

Job Description:

Goals / Why Open

  1. Our client is trying to improve the project intake process
  2. Take additional workload off of IT leadership so they can focus on resource allocation and technical requirements.


  1. Partner with the Business Relationship Manager to first do discovery with internal customers.
  2. At first you will partner with the Business Relationship Manager by attending meetings, capturing what the diverse needs of the internal customers may need, what they need to accomplish, and then document those workflows.
  3. Facilitate meetings with Tech Gurus to update documentation with necessary information
  4. You will report into the IT PMO Manager
  5. Document & Create workflows to assist leaders to be able to make decisions in the Change Advisory Meetings (currently meet 1-2 times a month)
  1. 3-5 years of analyst work consulting with customers to help with diverse IT projects
    1. Gathering Requirements, Documenting Workflows (Business diagrams, process flows, system diagrams,
    2. Experience documenting “as is & to be”
  2. Experience working with IT teams / IT structures
  3. High Attention to Detail
  4. Personality – ability to stand your own (ex- grab people’s attention that are very busy)
  5. Tools: MS 365, Visio,
  6. Desired
    1. SharePoint
    2. MS Automation Products like Flow / PowerApps
    3. Exposure to custom salesforce applications

Brief Project Overview

  1. Projects could be Enterprise Level across the organization, or a small application/software upgrade, implement a new technology, partnership with 3rd party vendors like SAS, Salesforce, Microsoft, or full 3rd party owned projects.
