Position: Billing Specialist 
Location: Monroeville, Pennsylvania 15146
Hourly Rate: $ 31.04/hr.
Term: 12 Months Contract

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
  • Direct contact to payers and patients, problem analysis, filing of appeals, recommendations for escalation/external collections, and resolution of refund requests.
  • Biller will review of payer contracts; research insurance benefits; determine necessary documents and calculate an accurate rate of pay; communicate with providers, insurers and/or financial institutions effectively.
  • Utilize computer, answer the phone, update and file patient information in the files and document all communication.

Is it a good fit? (Requirements):
  • Verifiable High School diploma or GED is required.
  • At least 1 of year experience performing healthcare reimbursement, medical insurance/billing or related work. 
  • At least 1 of year experience working with healthcare reimbursement systems.
  • Ability to prioritize daily tasks. 
  • Working knowledge of medical terminology.
  • Customer service skills with the ability to work in a team environment.
  • Experience in MS Word, Excel and Outlook.
