This international network integration leader has an immediate 6-12+ month contract opportunity in Plano, TX for a Security Project Manager that is Bilingual in Japanese and English. Will be working remotely initially but must be available to work onsite in Plano, TX in the future.  This role is an integral part of the engineering and development team and will be responsible for executing a broad range of oversight, tracking and management goals.  Responsibilities include:

  • Manage cross-functional programs from end-to-end, covering a range of areas including vehicle security, along with coordinating with hardware and software platforms.

  • Develop project plans, supervise the work of various team members.

  • Facilitate efficient communication across all levels of a project & stakeholders involve ensuring consistency in reaching the project's goal.

  • Provide technical insights and advise to customer stakeholders for project’s planning & execution.

  • Conduct all aspects of project initiation, planning, execution and closure for projects. Projects will be both for Customer organization & own team.

  • Recognize any potential opportunities, risks or complications at customer side & communicating same to own team & project team member for next plan of action.

  • Provide decision support for project sponsors, decision makers, and stakeholders involved in related projects. Define & maintain roadmap detailing work streams for continuous improvement.

  • Improve project performance via regular status reporting and executive reviews. Investigate specific performance issues and communicate early warning signs of risk. Enforce consistent performance reporting guidelines to make reporting efficient for stakeholders.

  • Identify project level milestones and integrate them into an overall customer program level strategy. Supervise all project scheduling and quality of deliverable.

  • Monitor project milestones and critical dates to identify potential failure of project schedule. Identify ways to resolve schedule issues.

  • Devising new programs that support the organization's objectives

  • Evaluating and assessing the programs' strengths and weaknesses

  • Working with other departments to develop budgets and plans for the programs

  • Analyzes financial status by collecting, monitoring, and studying data, and recommending actions.

  • Leads internal and external Product/Project Development and related meetings.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering / Manufacturing Engineering / computer science, or equivalent in experience

  • Proficient in Japanese & English verbal & written communication.

  • Must have experience with Automotive infotainment systems

  • 5+ years’ experience in product development, ideally with multiple delivered products in a medium-to-high-volume industry.

  • Minimum of 7+ years of experience as a project manager leading critical organization wide IT projects (security, network, infrastructure, cloud, application)

  • Strong technical background in security, network, infrastructure, cloud, application.

  • Familiarity with electrical engineering, software development, and mechanical engineering process.

  • Experience in planning activities and vendor management in an engineering environment.

  • Demonstrated ability to understand complex development projects and identify critical elements.

  • Experience assisting with management of projects, budget input, and project updates.

  • Detail oriented with strong record-keeping and organizational skills.

  • Individual contributor design engineering experience is highly valued.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office & documentation skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook).

Preferred Skills:

  • 10+ yrs. of specific experience in automotive electronics preferred

  • Certification: PMP or CSPM.

  • Security related certificates for example: CompTIA Security+, CISSP or similar.

  • Infrastructure or software deployment/development experience

  • Agile/Scrum experience.
