Our client, a leading financial institution, is seeking a Back End Developer. The Cyber Security Innovation (CSI) team is looking for a back end developer on the Cyber Security Correlation and Automation (CSCA) tool. CSCA is a 2+petabyte cluster of various sets of data utilized buy various teams. Our client is looking to expand use of CSCA and needs a developer to help build out a new application in a modern tech-stack (nodeJS), focused on a revised set of core functionality.

The selected candidate will be a developer who will work directly with the core CSCA team as a backend developer writing NodeJS code.

Responsibilities:

  • Acts in a technical role providing technical guidance and consultation with application teams, clients, and Engineering Managers for their technology domain environments including but not limited to cloud, middleware, operating systems, applications, Software-as-a-Service, and Platform-as-a-Service products.
  • Design, code, test, debug and document programs using Agile development practices.
  • Provides the input to design for projects associated with their technology domain including, upgrades and deployments.
  • Utilizes advanced technologies and methods to integrate their technology domain with other technology domains, enabling the creation of new or expanded heterogeneous environments.
  • Develops new documentation and departmental technical procedures.
  • Directs the gathering of performance statistics to assist in determining hardware and communication tools needed to support projected transaction volumes, response time and system availability targets.
  • Assures quality, security and compliance requirements are met for supported technology domain.
  • Leads projects and as an escalation point, provides guidance and direction to less experienced staff in resolution of highly complex technical problems.

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of software engineering experience
  • 5+ years of JavaScript framework experience (YUI, Angular, Node

 

Desired Qualifications:

  • An industry-standard technology certification
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • 1 + years of experience with Elasticsearch development, integration or support
  • 1+ year of Java experience
  • 1+ year of Atlassian experience
  • 2+ years of experience with GraphQL (Graph Query Language)
  • 2+ years with applications/tools in the Cyber Security/Risk domain
  • 3+ years of Agile experience
