Position: Software Developer
Location: San Francisco, California, 94105
Term: 6 months

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

  •  Responsible for participating in automation design guidance and consultation, utilizing a thorough understanding of applicable technology, tools and existing designs.
  • Support coding scripts in Java to automate manual test cases as well as executing those scripts in an effort to test the functionality of Wells Fargo Consumer and Small Business Technology applications.
  • Utilize Selenium/Java, Cucumber, Empirix, VB.NET, TestNG, Jenkins, and LISA ITKO (CA DevTest) to automate and virtualize manual test cases that reside in HP Quality Center ALM.
  • Tasks will be conducted throughout the software development lifecycle, including during the SIT development phase for any given project to support the Shift Left concept.
  • Develop and provide recommendations to the existing framework for these highly visible mission critical applications.
  • Support general activities such as but not limited to: participate in overall project/systems testing, code automated test cases and maintenance of existing test cases, conduct code reviews, peer reviews, setup and maintain test data, metrics reporting to overall platform leads and managers to ensure platform release changes are deployed into production with high quality and defect free.
  • Work closely with application development, QA from other areas, and business groups to ensure successful collaboration.
  • Acts in a lead technical role providing technical guidance and consultation with application teams, clients, and Engineering Managers for their technology domain environments including but not limited to cloud, middleware, operating systems, applications, Software-as-a-Service, and Platform-as-a-Service products.
  • Designs, codes, tests, debugs and documents programs using Agile development practices.
  • Provides the strategy and design for projects associated with their technology domain including, upgrades and deployments.
  • Utilizes advanced technologies and methods to integrate their technology domain with other technology domains, enabling the creation of new or expanded heterogeneous environments.
  • Develops new documentation and departmental technical procedures.
  • Directs the gathering of performance statistics to assist in determining hardware and communication tools needed to support projected transaction volumes, response time and system availability targets.
  • As an escalation point, provides guidance and direction to less experienced staff in resolution of highly complex technical problems.
  • Leads projects and manages the work of less experienced staff.
  • Assures quality, security and compliance requirements are met for supported technology domain.

Is this a good fit? (Requirements):

  • 4-6+ years of Automation & Performance Testing experience
  • 5+ years of software engineering experience
  • 5+ years of testing or quality assurance experience
  • 5+ years of Core Java experience
  • 4+ years of automation or regression testing experience
  • 2 + years of experience designing and implementing solutions for test automation using Selenium and Java
  • 2+ years of experience with BDD- Cucumber test automation framework for Feature Development - Scenarios , Feature Files.
  • 5+ years of software engineering experience
  • An industry-standard technology certification
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

  • A BS/BA degree or higher in science or technology
  • 3+ years of Agile experience
  • Ability to work effectively in virtual environment where key team members and partners are in various time zones and locations
  • Knowledge and understanding of automated regression and maintaining scripts in regression
  • Knowledge and understanding of technology testing: automation and data automation
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of the Branch Banking and/or Contact Center Model
  • 1+ year of RESTful or SOAP web services
  • 3 + years of experience developing Single Page Architecture (SPA) web application using JavaScript, Angular or a combination of both
  • Knowledge and understanding of Selenium software testing framework
  • Knowledge of widely successful Agile techniques: User Stories, ATDD, TDD, Continuous Integration, Continuous Testing, Pairing, Automated Testing, Agile Games
  • Experience developing with one or more of the following programming languages or frameworks such as HTML5, ActionScript, JavaScript, or Active Server Pages (ASP)
