This Arlington, TX employment leader has an immediate 10+ month contract opportunity for an Auditor. Will be working remotely initially from the DFW area.  Responsibilities include:
  • Monitoring and review of federal and state grant fiscal information using auditing skills gained through experience.
  • Reading and recording information from audited financial statements, following audit procedures including vouching and tracing, understanding fiscal support documentation, testing cost allocations, working in Excel spreadsheets and Word documents. 
  • Ability to access multiple data points to retrieve information including SharePoint intra & extranets, multiple drives. Using MS Teams and TeamMate software.
This position requires:
  • Experience in application of understanding basic auditing principles and audit skills.
  • Experience in MS Excel (sorting, filtering, pivot tables) and MS Word 
  • Experience in audit practice of verification, tracing, vouching 
  • Experience in interpreting fiscal audit support documentation
  • Experience in following established procedures in existing projects.
  • Ability to follow directions 
  • Ability to communicate well, both orally and in writing
  • Ability to research on Internet
  • Ability to prioritize multiple items
  • Efficient and effective time management skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Critical thinking skills
  • Experience in remote work environments is highly preferred
  • Auditor will be expected to use TeamMate audit software, TEAMS, SharePoint and multiple internal drives.
  • CPA, CFE, or CIA certification is a plus.
Should be able to demonstrate proficiency with basic functions, creating workbooks, copying worksheets from one workbook into another, sorting and filtering data, creating basic pivot tables, use of formulas, i.e., quickly sum data from several areas of a spreadsheet.
