Position: Analytics Data Engineer

Location: Remote - South Carolina

Term: 2 Months

The Senior Analytics Data Engineer will be part of a team building the next generation Data Analytics platform. You will lead platform design, develop and maintain complex ETL/ELT data pipelines using large heterogeneous datasets developing data engineering products for complex data models that express business processes. Your expertise with leading data technologies results in a valuable modern data analytics platform that supports enabling our patients access to therapeutic care. Your collaboration and communication skills will establish stakeholder relationships to ensure your data products alignment with our Analytic product goals.
Leveraging your innate curiosity surrounding business processes, strategy and strategic initiatives to drive business value from data assets. Partner with Analytics team members and 3rd party Vendor partners to develop data products that drives our B2B/B2C Analytics capabilities and solution portfolio.
Analytics Data Engineers are innovative working with new cloud native and open source technologies such as the Azure and Google cloud data platforms. As the senior member of the team, you will be leading technical design as well as serving as an evangelist for promoting best practice to effectively manage data assets. It will also be expected that this role guide and mentor less experienced members of the team to promote talent from within the team.

Primary Responsibilities:
* Lead design, development, and automation of scalable Analytic data engineering products leveraging cloud infrastructure. Extend or migrate existing data pipelines to new cloud environment.
* Document project plans, outline tasks and milestones, provide estimation of effort.
* Partner with Analytics teams and business to craft data pipelines capabilities
* Implement best practices for data engineering to ensure quality delivery of enterprise solutions.
* Enable team alignment by participating in code reviews, change management and team meetings.
* Leads complex, major or highly visible tasks and projects as a project team lead
* Expert in multiple data environments and knowledge that spans one or more business areas
* Drive project planning processes, delegates to junior team members noncomplex tasks
* Recommends data products to solve business problems meeting multiple stakeholder requirements
* Optimize existing data processes and implements best-in-class data transformation capabilities
* Researches internal and external data sources for new data and evolving data feeds sources
* Educates data access/consumption mechanisms to business stakeholders, data visualization specialists and/or data scientists
* Accountable for implementation of data cleansing procedures, oversees testing of business analytics solutions improving data integrity issues
* Provides data leadership, coaching and mentoring to team members.
* Develops reports and presentations for senior management.

Experience and Educational Requirements:
* Bachelors degree Computer Systems Analysis, Data Processing, Healthcare Informatics, Management Information Systems, or related field
* Experience managing or advising less experienced team members and delegating tasks when appropriate
* Track record of leading large scale and technically complex projects to implement new data platforms or systems
* Minimum of 10 years working with enterprise data and systems in large organization settings
* Strong experience with a wide array of enterprise data tools, technologies and platforms, such as Azure, Hadoop, NoSQL, Spark etc.
* Extensive industry experience in pharmaceutical, payer, or health services industry preferred
* Knowledgeable of Analytics and Data Science technologies and concepts to support efforts of these teams
* Experience designing, developing and testing data products using proven or emerging technologies

MINIMUM SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITY REQUIREMENTS:
* Highly proficient with ETL tools and fluent in SQL and NoSQL based languages
* Hands-on experience with the Azure and/or Google cloud platforms and can advise/recommend Azure capabilities to solve real-world business problems
* Experience with Big Data Technologies (Hadoop, Hive, Hbase, Spark)
* Research and articulate Information architecture concepts to all audiences
* Expert in the design/implementation of data products in B2B and B2C business models
* Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
* Strong verbal and written communication skills
