The opportunity:

Our client is comprised of passionate and dynamic IT Infrastructure professionals that plan, implement and support the deployment of critical systems, security, networks, databases, and supporting infrastructure that enables a highly responsive 24x7 operation.

Through systems expertise, cloud technologies, automation, detailed problem solving, and collaboration with the business, the Technology Platforms team leads the implementation and maintenance of large and complex solutions that run behind business applications.

The Platforms Agile Program Manager may be responsible for leading several concurrent high visibility programs in a fast-paced environment which may cross multiple internal platform departments and other business divisions. Leading programs and projects may include all aspects of the project lifecycle from approval through close using Agile methods while also working with various other methodologies in use (waterfall, SDLC).  As a practice lead, the Agile Program Manager will own best practices and governance including lean processes, continuous improvement and mentoring other practitioners. 

How you will make an impact:

  • Lead complex programs that will span multiple teams and cross divisional lines of business
  • Establish and lead program and project management practices, partnering with the enterprise PMO and the Agile Community of Excellence
  • Collaborate with other subject matter experts to establish and communicate Agile Lifecycle Management and System Development Lifecycle practices
  • Lead merger and acquisition practices from due diligence and synergy planning through project close
  • Work with executive stakeholders to identify key objectives and monitor key risks / issues
  • Mentor and influence project managers, product owners and teammates supporting the agile project methodology and best practices
  • Advance a culture of data driven decision making, agility and continuous improvement

What you need to succeed:

  • Strong understanding of Lean and Agile methodologies with prior experience utilizing SCRUM/Agile methodologies with enterprise-level projects.
  • Strong understanding of Program and Project Management disciplines including Agile Scaling techniques
  • Strong understanding of IT Service Management, ITIL and SDLC best practices
  • A proven track record of successfully implementing infrastructure or highly complex projects in a high-tech environment with multi-function teams using Agile and or other SDLC methodologies
  • Very effective interpersonal skills including mentoring, coaching, collaborating, and team building
  • Strong analytical, planning, and organizational skills with an ability to manage competing demands
  • The ability to collaborate with the enterprise PMO on Project, Program and Portfolio concepts and assist in integrating agile methods with progress tracking.
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills and experience interacting with both business and IT individuals at all levels including the executive level
  • 7 to 10 years of relevant work experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or relevant work experience
