Grow your career as an Agile Coach with an innovative global bank in Tampa, FL. Long-term contract with excellent growth potential. Will start working remotely until offices reopen, then will be required to be onsite 2-3 days per week. Will be responsible for driving Process Excellence, Change Management, Work Intake and Prioritization and transitioning the project teams from Waterfall to Agile/Scrum teams. Will also be responsible for implementing appropriate tools like ServiceNow to support service request management and other tools to help facilitate effective resource capacity planning. Will also drive continuous improvements and process excellence across the PMO and the broader GRU organization.
  • Process Excellence
    • Lead the Process Excellence function within the PMO, which includes defining and implementing new PMO and Business Office processes to ensure effective resource capacity planning, change management, work intake, prioritization and overall management of the portfolio.
    • Centralize work intake tools and refine work intake processes to better align with the business the company serves.
  • Agile/Scrum
    • Lead the organization transformation from Waterfall to Agile/Scrum including business and IT training in Agile methodology and Scrum training.
    • Develop a Scrum training curriculum.
    • Lead the initial Scrum Team POC across selected teams.
    • Launch an Agile/Scrum COE and train existing Scrum Masters on the training curriculum to help support the GRU transition to Scrum across the project teams.
  • Project Management (fundamental skill required)
    • Oversee all technology components of diverse, moderately complex IT projects, including project planning, execution, timing, functionality, quality and cost.
    • Utilize expertise and leadership skills to direct staff and to resolve issues to ensure project goals and requirements are met.
    • Communicate with end-users to provide timely and accurate information and status updates.
    • Shared responsibility for budget, policy formulation and planning.
    • Contribute to formulation of strategies for IT project leadership and other functional areas.
    • Evaluate subordinates' performance and makes decisions on pay increases, hiring, terminations and other personnel actions.
    • Apply in-depth understanding of concepts and procedures within own area and basic knowledge of other areas to resolve issues that have impact beyond own area.
    • Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of how areas of IT project leadership collectively integrate to contribute to achieving business goals.
    • Provide evaluative judgment based on analysis of factual information in complicated and unique situations.
    • Directly impact the IT project leadership area through responsibility for delivery of end results and shared responsibility for budget management; accountable for resource planning.
    • Ensure essential procedures are followed and contributes to defining standards.
    • Persuade and influence others through communication and diplomacy skills. May negotiate with external parties.
    • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding the company, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.
  • Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experience. Master’s degree is preferred.
  • Certified Scrum Master.
  • 5 years of Scrum Master experience leading multiple Scrum Teams in a large corporation.
  • Experience teaching Agile methods, Scrum team training - user stories, retrospectives, daily stand-ups, sprint planning, managing the backlog, building Scrum teams, identifying appropriate product owners, etc.
  • 5 years of experience driving transformations and process improvements within a PMO and in support of overall portfolio management.
  • 3-5 years of experience in the financial services industry with some understanding of markets, treasury, reconciliations and other business lines.
  • 10 years of technology project management skills, managing large programs, working with stakeholders and delivery partners, preferably in financial services or insurance.
  • Understanding of Waterfall SDLC methodologies.
  • Exposure to Big Data Technology, Data Analytics, Hadoop, Hive Kafka, Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence, SmartStream TLM, QuickRec, QlikView and other technologies.
  • Master at Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, MS Project, Visio, Jira.
