Title: Accountant
Term: 6 Months Contract
Location: Lenexa, KS
Long term contract opportunity in Lenexa, KS for a Accountant. Will be required to be onsite 2-3 days per week. Will apply principles of accounting to analyze financial information and prepare financial reports.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

Following established procedures, perform detailed accounting requiring a basic knowledge of accounting theory and principles.

Work is subject to general review and under the direction of senior accounting personnel.

Provide general analysis support in various accounting functions such as Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Payroll, Cost Accounting, Property Accounting, General Accounting and the like.

Review and analyze journal vouchers, accounting classifications and other accounting/financial statements, records and reports.

Assist higher level accountants in a variety of accounting assignments such as: taking trial balances, making adjustments and closing entries, preparing profit and loss statements, inventory, receipts and disbursements, balance sheets, computing and distributing labor, material and overhead costs.
Qualifications:

Two-year AA degree in Business or Accounting required.

Previous experience in Microsoft Suite is required.
