Our client is a multibillion-dollar company that provides end-to-end managed services, technology and consulting to enable the digital workplace for small to enterprise businesses. Position: Accountant 
Location: Charlotte, North Carolina 28202
Hourly Rate: $35.61/hr.
Term: 6 Months Contract

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
  • Review, analyze and prepare monthly journal entries for month end close related to general corporate accounting processes.
  • Analyze balance sheet and income statement account fluctuations and provide explanations for any significant or unusual changes in balances.
  • Coordinate across cross-functional departments within the company to aide in analysis, research, adherence to GAAP accounting standards and compliance with SOX internal controls.
  • Researches, compiles, and analyzes data related to special projects.
  • JE and reconciliations of subcontractor accruals (Whitespace and Elite Tek) and temp labor (Fieldglass).
  • Running and analyzing service revenue reports for internal SOX compliance, monthly and quarterly.
  • Ensure SOX controls have been identified, evidenced, and documented for processes. 
  • Monitor and review processes and reports to ensure accuracy of the financial statements and compliance with SOX controls.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
  • At least 7 years of experience in related field
  • Background should include diverse accounting experience such as a practical understanding of financial statements, accounting principles with a good understanding of US GAAP, month end close and audit cycle, and account reconciliations
  • Experience in revenue and cost accounting is required
  • US GAAP; Above average computer skills and information systems proficiency.
  • Excellent Excel skills are required to include Pivot tables, V-lookups, formulas, and functions
  • Ability to meet high deadline demands with accurate and timely information
  • Ability to establish and strengthen relationships across organizational boundaries
  • Ability to analyze and interpret financial data
  • Must be highly detail oriented, highly accurate, and a strong communicator

Even better if you have:
  • Oracle Cloud experience preferred, or other ERP software systems
  • CPA and/or MBA
