“MATRIX has an opportunity to improve in recruiting and retaining diverse employees, both internally and for our clients. We have work to do. We are making a commitment to change, because it’s the right thing to do, and that’s who we are." - Gary Wood, CEO

At MATRIX, employees are our most valuable asset.

There’s no question— the collective sum of the individual differences, life experiences, knowledge, innovation, self-expression, unique capabilities and talent that our employees invest in their work represent a significant part of not only our culture, but also of our reputation and of the company’s achievement.

As such, we want to reconfirm our commitment to fostering, cultivating and preserving a culture of diversity, equity & inclusion in a lasting way. We reject racism or inequality in any way, shape or form, or any person evidencing this type of behavior.

Education and Awareness

In 2020, we formed a Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Committee to collectively retrospect and plan ways to help promote DEI among our internal employees, our job candidates, and our clients. We are blending this initiative into our culture by reviewing our hiring practices, promotional standards and internal policies, along with educating our leadership team and partnering with organizations that support underserved communities.

Our Mission

Our mission is to promote diversity, equity, & inclusion, while increasing opportunities for employment and economic development across MATRIX’s internal/external talent pools, clients, partners and communities.

Our Impact

We have pledged to make an impact by placing IT job opportunities in front of more African American, Women and Hispanic candidates. Having specific strategies to ensure diversity in our talent network is how we will do our part to level the playing field and act to make a difference. We are initially working with our largest markets to:

  1. Develop strategies to align with clients who have a commitment to diversity and inclusion

  2. Build a pipeline of more diverse candidates

We understand we have work to do in our commitment to promoting a more diverse workplace. It is incumbent upon our entire company to adhere to and achieve the goals we have stated above, so that we foster a more vibrant culture and socially-conscious perspective in the future.

MATRIX is committed to providing a work environment that values diversity, equity, inclusion and respect.
