Enthusiastic ParticipationMany early adopters of first generation Vendor Management Systems (VMS) failed to realize their potential. Merely automating previously manual processes, these systems were installed without a full appreciation of hiring practices from beginning to end. As a result, early efforts fell short of the potential for broader benefits, and alienated many stakeholders in the process.

In a recent survey of nearly 120 vendors (“VMS Providers Scorecard”- February 2003), the Jordan Group, Inc., revealed that only 19% of respondents rated MSP overall performance as “good or excellent.” And only 22% were satisfied with the quality and completeness of the requisitions for candidates.
